Starting the creative process for Clowns' 5th studio album, ENDLESS, in February 2020, the band faced numerous covid related obstacles and highlighted to them the importance of in person studio time to feel truly connected to their music. Home demo recordings revealed an unintentional recurring theme of immortality in the music, which subconsciously reflected their undying determination to persevere and adapt to a changing world. Once realised, immortality soon became the concept of many of the songs and in general the entire record. Further inspiration was drawn from 80’s metal, artwork, pop culture and fashion. They recently released a track with the wildly popular podcast Casefile, in which the anonymous host of casefile narrates a true crime Ned Kelly tale over a spaghetti western musical bed which has been a bit hit with clowns fans Limited to 200 of the Orange White Smash vinyl
