Born out of a period of deep personal turmoil, Both Sides leans into mood and texture: brooding synths, patient drum programming, and melodies that unfurl at their own pace. Songs like “Both Sides of the Story” and “Can’t Turn Back the Years” wrestle with empathy, regret, and the impossible task of untangling the messiness of relationships, while quieter moments—“Everyday,” “We’re Sons of Our Fathers”—reveal a songwriter searching for clarity more than catharsis.
