Originally released in 1993, Elegant Slumming established M People as one of the defining British dance-pop acts of the decade. Blending house, soul and polished pop production with Heather Small’s unmistakable vocals, the album features the hit singles “Moving On Up”, “One Night In Heaven” and “Renaissance” and went on to win the Mercury Music Prize. This National Album Day 2026 edition is presented as a limited 2LP pressing on 140g transparent clear vinyl and includes the original album alongside additional mixes of “Don’t Look Any Further”, “Renaissance” and “Moving On Up”.
